Tasnif Setar

Name of this perfume is TASNIF SETAR, taken from the name of an ancient Persian musical instrument.

Although related to the TANBUR family, in recent centuries, it more closely resembles the SETAR both in tuning and playing style and also the shape of handle.

This instrument has always been respected by “Sufis” due to its special resonance feature and delicate sound.

It has a mellifluous and gentle sound, and has been entitled a good companion for loneliness as it straightly touches the musician’s soul.

It is one of the most widely used and a favorite instrument in Persian musical instruments and many musicians are eagerly fond of it and play it expertly such as Abolhassan Saba, Parviz Meshkatian, Hossein Alizadeh, and Hafez Nazeri to name but a few.
